The data science group within Leukocare is an international, agile, self-organized team that provides support to research and development (R&D) scientists and clients. We apply bioinformatics, biostatistics, and machine learning to address a broad variety of challenges that occur during biopharmaceutical drug development.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities:

Developing software and machine-learning algorithms for internal use by scientists conducting biopharmaceutical formulation development
Conducting molecular modelling analyses of protein / peptide biopharmaceuticals and small molecule synthetic drugs to identify stability risks and other molecular liabilities
Providing scientific advice to support commercial activities such as project acquisition
Supporting scientific publications and representing Leukocare at conferences
Maintenance of high software standards, including dockerization, documentation, testing, CI and code review
Supervision of bachelor's and master's students

Your Profile:

Master's degree or equivalent in Bioinformatics, Computational Chemistry, Structural Biology, Biophysics, Biochemistry, or a related field (PhD is a plus)
Excellent skills in Python, pandas, and data analysis
Software development experience (pull requests, ticket systems)
Strong communication skills in English
Collaborative mindset and experience in communicating with scientists to analyze experimental data; experience with protein science or biopharmaceutical development is a plus
Experience in working within a cross-functional environment, with the ability to turn complexity into clarity during conversations with non-subject matter experts, is a plus
Experience with docker and development of machine learning models is a plus
Experience with molecular modelling visualization tools or molecular dynamics is a plus (CCG MOE, Schrodinger, PyMol, Gromacs)
